Following the success of two training courses on ETS and the carbon market in Hanoi, VNEEC will continue to organize two consecutive training courses on ETS and the carbon market in Ho Chi Minh City, each lasting 2 days, from 06 May to 09 May 2024. The first training course will take place on May 6th – 7th, 2024 and the second training course will be held on May 8th – 9th, 2024. Both training courses are aimed at representatives from big emitters, a number of management agencies at all levels, business associations, and media.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2-day training course on ETS and the carbon market is part of the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership\u2019s (ETP) support aiming to develop the carbon market in Viet Nam in cooperation with the Department of Climate Change (DCC), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) under the technical assistance (TA) \u201cEmission Trading System (ETS) Piloting and Simulation in Vietnam\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main objective of the technical assistance is to develop and organize training courses on ETS and the carbon market, using the ETS simulation tool tailored to the Vietnam context for various stakeholders including policymakers, research institutes, universities, financial institutions, media representatives, and especially big emitters that will be covered under Vietnam\u2019s ETS in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Form of organization:<\/strong>\u00a0Offline training<\/span><\/p>\n

Accommodation: <\/strong>Trainees are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation during the training course. Organizers provide buffet lunches at the hotel where the training course is held.<\/span><\/p>\n

Benefits: <\/strong>Be equipped with knowledge, contribute comments to build a carbon market in Vietnam, and receive a certificate of participation in training courses issued by the Department of Climate Change and ETP.<\/span><\/p>\n

Required preparation: <\/strong>Laptop, or tablet (for reading documents and participating in simulations).<\/span><\/p>\n
